England: Memorial to Slain Soldier Removed ("Unsightly")

Local authorities have sparked outrage by removing a makeshift memorial on the spot where British soldier Lee Rigby was slaughtered by two Muslims in 2013. Authorities say the makeshift memorial was "unsightly".

Flags, flowers and banners occupied the spot opposite the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich where Fusilier Rigby was killed in May 2013 (file photo)

Let's be honest: The makeshift memorial was unsightly to some Muslims, including those who periodically defaced it over the years.

You want to know what is unsightly? Here is what is unsightly:

Now that's unsightly.

I would hope that this makeshift memorial will be replaced by a permanent memorial to Lee Rigby, a plaque or monument.
