As I write this piece, we are learning about yet another horrific attack in Europe-this time Manchester, England. A suicide bomber has set off an explosion that has killed at least 19 people. This was at a concert by American singer Ariana Grande, and her audience consisted mostly of teenage girls and their parents. What a barbaric attack.
As yet, there is no official finding that this was Islamic terror, but I am willing to go out on a limb and say that the Religion of Peace has struck civilization once again.
And what an image the Brits must have of their own restive Muslim population, mostly South Asians, Pakistanis etc. They are already dealing with a massive wave of teenage sexual grooming carried out by bands of mostly Pakistani men abusing, drugging, raping and prostituting young British girls. In addition, this latest attack will be the largest in Britain since the bombings of July 7, 2005. They also have Angem Choudary, now imprisoned for his support of ISIS. He and his band of savages openly proclaim that the UK will become part of the Caliphate.
And finally, this attack falls on the 4th anniversary of the savage murder of a British soldier on the streets of London by two African-born Muslims.
Have I gotten to the Continent yet? Western Europe is swimming in hundreds of thousands of migrants, refugees, asylum-seekers from the Middle East and Africa. They come, they are admitted, they are put in housing, they are given welfare, and they go out and commit crimes, rapes, murders and terrorist attacks such as has been seen in places like Paris and Brussels.
Yesterday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, President Trump spoke forcefully to the Saudis, the Emiratis and the other Gulf State leaders that it is time they "drive out" the radicals and terrorists Many of his listeners have funded terrorists. It is time they stop playing both sides of the fence.
We also need to "drive them out". I am not calling for the driving out of innocent Muslims, but the Western world has to use whatever laws we still have to identify the radicals in our Muslim communities. We all have intelligence services, and they all have files of suspects living in their countries. If there is insufficient evidence to arrest, then we must deport them if they are not US citizens. We cannot continue to tolerate the presence of people in our midst who want to harm us. We cannot continue to tolerate imams preaching hate towards Western civilization, Christians and Jews in mosques.
In addition, we need to stop them from entering our countries. What we are witnessing is a monumental demographic shift. Muslims by the millions are trying to relocate to the West. Their intention is not to assimilate. They bring a poisonous ideology with them that they want to implant in Europe and the Americas. That ideology is political Islam. The higher their percentage of the population, the more problems we will have. Just look at Europe.
If I may return to President Trump's speech. He has already received a negative response from no less than the terror-supporters of the Council on American Islamic Relations, a creation of the Muslim Brotherhood and a supporter of Hamas (among others). The despicable leader of CAIR, Nihad Awad, issued a statement that Trump's speech "acknowledging Islam as one of the world's great religions", was not enough. He then goes on to tell Trump what is needed (to combat Islamophobia).
Mr Awad; What is needed to combat Islamophobia is for Muslims to stop the murder, stop the hate, stop persecuting religious minorities from Egypt to Pakistan, stop assisting Hamas and other Palestinian terrorists who want to wipe Israel off the map. What is needed is for more Muslims to work hand in hand with the police-not in inter-faith meetings or Islam-promoting events, but reporting radical activity in their communities and their mosques and in their schools. Surely, some Muslims have come forth and notified police, but their numbers are too few. CAIR in San Francisco actually put out a picture to its community a few years ago that urged them to close their doors to the FBI when they come asking for information.
What is needed is for Western Muslim men to go to places like Syria, Iraq and Somalia-not to join ISIS, Al Qaeda or Al Shabaab, but to fight against them. We know that tens of thousands of Western Muslims have gone to the war zones to join the jihad. We have yet, to my knowledge, to identify a single one who has gone to fight against the terrorists. Where are the Muslim armies fighting against the terrorists? The only ones I see are national armies fighting on behalf of a ruler (like Bashar Assad).
But what we as citizens need to do is speak openly about Islam. We don't want to incite violence against innocent Muslims, but we need to speak openly, nonetheless. We need to openly ask about the connections between terrorists who say they are acting on behalf of Allah and Islam with Islam itself and its teachings. We need to set aside the political correctness and not worry about offending Muslims and being called "Islamophobes" by people like Awad and UC Berkeley professor Hatem Bazian (the co-founder of the Islamophobia Research and Documentation Center).
Dear Readers: The root of the problem is Islam. This evening in Manchester, at least 19 people, probably mostly teenage girls, were slaughtered in the name of Islam. Islam is the problem. No American president, be he Obama or Trump can publicly say it, but we can. The sooner we recognize it and openly acknowledge it, the safer we will be. We cannot destroy Islam; there are over one billion followers around the world. We want to live in peace with Muslims as we destroy ISIS and the other terror groups. However, until Islam and its jihadists come to their senses and stop the killing, we can best contain it by stopping Islamic immigration in its tracks. Now.
