The Washington Post reached a new low this week in publishing a political cartoon showing Ted Cruz as an organ grinder and his two kids as trained monkeys.

Ann Telnaes should be ashamed of herself. Ditto for the newspaper Mark Levin refers to (with good reason) as the Washington Compost. This kind of imagery belongs in the same category as those Arab newspaper cartoons against Israel that hearken back to the days of Der Stuermer. No wonder Sean Hannity talks about the death of American journalism.
Can anyone recall conservative cartoonists drawing insulting images of the Obama children or Chelsea Clinton when her parents were in the White House? Of course not.

Cruz shamelessly used his children as foils in political campaign spots. Cruz SHOULD HAVE used trained monkeys instead of his daughters.

At some point, most if not all politicians display their families to the public. Could you imagine if that artist had portrayed the Obama daughters in that way?
Can you imagine Barack Obama making campaign spots in which he read politicized fairy tales to his daughters?
