Last September President Obama told us that his policies of fighting terrorists in Yemen and Somalia were a success.
"This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years.”

This week, as Obama was blowing his own horn during the State of the Union, the president of Yemen was surrounded by the Iran-supported Shi'ite fighters of Houthi in his palace in Sana'a. Today it is reported that he has resigned under rebel pressure. Obama has just lost an ally in fighting al Qaeda in Yemen. Some success.
But after all, there is that other success story, Somalia.
