Senate Intell Report on Benghazi

The Senate Intelligence Committee has issued its report on the Benghazi attack. And it is not very complimentary to the administration and the State Department. It states that the attack was carried out by elements tied to Al Qaeda- in spite of the recent report by the NY Times that tried to refute that.

Now before you jump the gun and call it a partisan report by the Republican House under Darrell Issa (R-CA), let me reiterate. This was issued by by the Democrat-controlled Senate and the committee chair is Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

I have been following this story all day. The Senate bipartisin committe did a fine job of investigation and presenting their conclusion that the The State Department could have prevented the attack by either withdrawing the Benghazi team or putting more trained security at the embassy. There was no protest or demonstration, it was al Qaeda. Obama was incomunicato the evening after being informed (so he could get some sleep for the campaign speech the next day) and Hillary did not answer her phone that night.

What was not said, was the lies put forth by the POTUS, Hillary and Rice.

Anyone, repeat anyone, who still maintains that Obama did not know very early on, even while the attack was still ongoing, that it was by terrorists and not due to a demonstration/video, is one (or more) of three (3) things:
A) A true ideologue/believer/disciple who has drunk FAR too much of the Kool-Aid.
B) Someone who is just bumping their gums essentially to hear their head rattle and to play devil's advocate.
C) Dumb enough that I should be able to sell them the 10 feet of the Brooklyn Bridge that I bought in 1971, a couple of one-owner cars, some oceanfront property in Arizona, and several books of wolf tickets which I just happen to have.
All of which then brings the question, if Obama knew, and he obviously did, then why did his political subordinates (Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton, et al) not know this in fairly short order?? The answer to that is that they also obviously did.

Yes, if you look at the entire scope of the report, it tallies fairly well with the NY Times article Gary has been excoriating.

elwood... are you saying that terrorists could NOT have taken the video as an excuse? If you read the report, it points to a number of different causes and sources, as is only accurate considering the situation on the ground at the time.

Anyone notice that Chris Stevens personally declined the security detail the State Department offered and urged him to make use of?

How about the fact that U.S. military in the region were neither sufficiently informed of what installations needed protection, nor where they were, nor were any forces in a position to intervene? (Memories may be short... anyone remember Gary publicizing shrill accusations that forces were ready to respond but the White House ordered them to stand down?)

Anyway, if you shelled out cash for ten feet of the Brooklyn Bridge, you must remind me what tolls are due next time I cross the bridge... if you even notice.
