America Will Pressure Egypt, Says US Ambassador
One has to wonder at the chutzpah of our ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson. Here is the statement she has made in the wake of the military overthrow that ousted Mohammed Morsi: (Hat tip Raymond Inbrahim)

As Ibrahim points out, this is the same woman who urged Egyptians not to engage in anti-Morsi protests just a few days ago. She also pointedly advised Egypt's besieged Coptic Christians not to protest.
Meanwhile, John McCain has called for the suspension of US aid to Egypt.

Comment: US law would require such an action in the event of a military-led coup, as outlined in the above article. Personally, I have not supported this aid for years especially since Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood came to power. My question is whether McCain ever supported cutting off aid to Egypt during the past two years.
