Raymond Ibrahim has written an alarming article in FrontPage Magazine. As the Muslim Brotherhood works to complete its hold on Egypt, now we hear calls from clerics to demolish the pyramids. Why? because they predate Islam and are viewed by the clerics as pagan symbols.

If you think this is a preposterous idea that will never happen, think again. Remember when the Taliban bombed those stone Buddhas carved into a mountain in Afghanistan before Islam appeared? As we speak, Muslim gangs in Timbuktu are blowing up ancient tombs because they are linked to a sect (Sufist) that they considered heretics.
Go figure.

Erasing the ruins of an early civilization and one of the wonders of the world would not be any surprise. I wonder how that "Arab Spring" will work out for the world in the long run.
