......thinks about the incident at UC Davis last week when campus cops used pepper spray to remove students who refused to get up off the street and disperse.

Moore must be confused. How many people did Chinese troops kill at Tianamen Square? Had the Chinese merely used pepper spray, do you think Moore would have said a word?
Moore, like the host of "The Last Word", Lawrence O'Donnell, is given to exaggerated hyperbole. To compare using pepper spray to killing hundreds of protesters is so absurd that one has to question Moore's ability to think reasonably.

Indeed he is. He reminds me of the way Gary Fouse compares anything he dislikes to der Feuhrer.
Hyperbole is hyperbole, whether you find it amusing or not.
