Union Disgrace in Wisconsin

On Wednesday, a Special Olympics ceremony was held at the Wisconsin state capital in Madison. Naturally, Governor Scott Walker was in attendance. That brought out the union thugs to protest. Dressed like zombies, they disrupted the ceremony for the handicapped children by positioning themselves between the kids and the governor as he spoke.

What a disgrace. As usual, look for the union label.

There are just some events, some things you do NOT do this at. The Special Olympics is one of them.

These are the sons and daughters of Whores.

Lighten up Gary. I drove a paratransit bus for five years, and I have some familiarity with the contestants. In fact, some of my busier days were dominated by transporting people to one of the local contests. (Yes, it was a union job, much to the dismay of the management of the private contractor I worked for).

Its a good guess that some of the more astute contestants, and their caretakers, invited the unions to show up. I know people who get to public hearings in their wheelchairs who are SICK at what Walker proposes to do to their independence (although he doesn't SAY that in public, he offers vague murmurs of assurance that nothing will be taken from them... knowing full well that he can't move money around the way he is doing WITHOUT hurting them, badly.

There are, to be sure, any number of prosperous families who have a child with severe disabilities, and they no doubt voted for Walker. They may even stand by him when the majority of us toss him out next year, now that he's shown his true colors.

(Findalis, you KNOW you shouldn't say nasty things about someone's mother just because you disapprove of the actions of an adult offspring. Shame on you.)
