A friend has forwarded the below article to me, which I am cross-posting here. It comes from Australian Jewish writer Isi Leibler (who now lives in Jerusalem) and concerns the worsening situation in Europe for Jews. Leibler also laments the willingness of many Jews to join Israel's enemies in condemning Israel, something we also see all too often here in the US.

I find it amazing that with all the hell occurring in the Middle East, the one country seemingly that is not shooting down its own citizens is Israel. That is an exaggeration, of course, but look at Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, Libya and, of course, that non-Arab country nearby called Iran. Yet all the world wants to do is condemn the one democratic country in the region that is standing there watching and hoping radicals don't prevail in their neighboring countries. In addition, how many religious minorities are being persecuted in those countries? Does not anyone care? Ask the Christians in Egypt and Iraq, the Baha'i in Iran, the Jews in Yemen, and for that matter, the Christians in Pakistan. No matter how many churches and synagogues burn, no matter how many protesters are shot down by their governments, the only problem is Israel, the one country that is a democracy and where all religions are allowed to practice in peace-including Muslims.
Especially frustrating to Leibner-and to me- is the involvement of so many leftist Jews who have joined hands with the very forces who seek to destroy them. Do they really think that when Israel is destroyed and the Holocaust resumes that they will be allowed to live in peace as trusted brothers and heroes of the cause? Hardly. Like everyone else, they will be given the invitation-the choice, if you will. Either convert, accept dhimmi status, or die.
They are fools.

According to some of your readers there is no problem in Europe. Yet reports of "official" anti-Semitism keep turning up. How do they account for this?
It is only going to get worse.
