Silencing Conservative Speech at UW-Milwaukee
The below article is cross-posted from Big Government.com. It is written by UWM alumnus Chris Yogerst.

Just yesterday, I was interviewed at UC-Irvine by three young co-eds doing a research paper for their political science class. The topics were the on-going controversy at UCI involving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and recent protests at Yorba Linda and Anaheim in which I was a participant. My parting bit of advice for the young ladies was that while in the university, they should strive to get exposed to all sides of an argument, which is no easy task in a university where professors try to shove their opinions down students' throats.
How can a place like UWM call itself a university when stuff like this goes on? Maybe my friend, Siarlys has an answer since he lives in Milwaukee.

Gee Gary, almost all the scantily-dressed cheerleaders for the Milwaukee Bucks turn out to be blonde bombshell UWM students working their way through college -- more your type I would say, than your standard feminist quasi-socialists. Methinks this little man is tossing around characterizations that don't really match the demography. Wisconsin has always been rather closely balanced between whatever parties were competing, and UWM is a public campus. The population isn't so wildly overbalanced -- this man get admitted, didn't he?
If perfect and dispassionate justice reigned, Karl Rove should be indicted for treason to the United States of America. If he had been, that might make a case for excluding him from speaking on any college campus. He strikes me as the evil genius for a "nonviolent" version of The Manchurian Candidate. The devious agent finds a clueless man with boyish good looks, a complete failure in business who got bailed out by his daddy's friends several times, magically transforms him into the "frontrunner" for the Republican nomination for president, and manipulates a financial and foreign policy that mortgages our country to the government-controlled bank of the Peoples Republic of China.
This alumnus is engaged in picayune whining. If the College Republicans were denied the right to use campus facilities, post publicity, use the campus email system, or denied small routine levels of funding, I might be concerned. Out of one hundred groups on campus, only 16 are of any identifiable political hue, and of four groups being considered for a major grant -- obviously not available to each of the one hundred groups each semester -- the College Republicans might not get their grant approved? Awwwwwwwww...
I might agree that an across the board reduction in student fees and grants, in favor of letting each group do its own fundraising, would be in order. But this guy is another in the long list of pampered "conservative" whiners. I would think these devoted acolytes of free enterprise could still go out and raise $7500 if they REALLY wanted to bring the pathetic Mr. Forbes to campus.
I also note that I DID support the Christian Legal Society at Hastings, and admired Justice Alito's dissent when that case reached the Supreme Court. I don't see the same genuine issues here.
The fact that Breitbart would host this whiner would suggest that careful investigation of the alleged "facts" he presents is in order. Breitbart, after all, is the irresponsible jerk left with egg on his face after the "white farmer" he claimed was mistreated by Shirley Sherrod came forward to say "she saved our farm. They are not treating her right." Anyone who bothered to watch the ENTIRE video of her "controversial" speech would have known that. The fat boy doesn't do his homework, and I bet all he did with this one is to say "Yeah, that's the stuff!" (Wait, I've read those words before... Ever read The Car With The Yellow Star, the autobiographical account of a Sudeten German whose best friend crowed the same way listening to Goebbels turning a Czech policeman mildly telling a Nazi boys group to get home before curfew into what sounded more like a bloodbath?)
Apparently, Gary hasn't turned up ANY hard date that substantiates Yogurst's self-serving narcissistic rant.
