Not only are Coptic Christians in America standing up and speaking against the persecution of their brethren in Egypt, Copts in Australia are doing the same this week. The Australian has the story.

Meanwhile, in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood inches ever closer to taking power. The result will not be the so-called "Arab Spring" that the Western optimists are crowing about. It figures to be something much worse.
Can you say, "Iran"?
I hope that amid all the adulation of the Egyptian people and their revolution (conveniently overlooking the gang rape of reporter Lara Logan and the fiery speech by the anti-Semitic Yusuf al Qaradawi at Tahrir Square), we don't lose sight of what happens to that Christian minority.

Gary, you are so full of hope. I really admire your faith that truth and justice will triumph in the end. You are so full of doom and gloom, why do you even make the effort to go on living?
Islamofascism is a contrived epithet, not a political movement or organization. Now if you want to get down to hard facts about Salafism (and the various schools within Salafism), Kutbism, and the various factions in Afghanistan and Pakistan, we might be able to have a coherent conversation about real dangers and real ways to deal with them.
What the Islamists are doing is fascism in my view. Nazism might be a better description.
