Jerome Gordon, editor-in-chief of the New English Review, has written a piece which I am cross-posting. It concerns an issue of vital importance, the fragmentation of the Jewish community when it comes to the topics of Israel and anti-Semitism. Gordon draws on three examples, Boston, the UK and Orange County, California.

Perhaps the "Jewish community" is fragmented because Jewish people, like most human beings, have a variety of perceptions, evaluations, and even principles, and do not march in lockstep.
This reminds me of Jesse Jackson trying to get all but one African American candidate for Mayor of Chicago to drop out of the race so that "the black vote will not be divided."
In a recent conversation with Elcott, I mentioned that I disliked his treatment of Dee and he replied: "Dee and I may disagree on some topics, but we are friends". One wonders how Dee would perceive this statement by Elcott?
The leadership of the local Jewish Federation must be re-evaluated!
