Pitiful

Keith Olbermann has done it again. ESPN has suspended him the remainder of the week for calling Penn State students "pitiful" because they sent him a tweet about a pediatric cancer fundraiser.

Truly pitiful.

"Moderate" Swede Joins ISIS

Hat tip Frontpage Magazine

It looks like the inter-faith circle in Sweden has lost one of those moderate Muslims that told people that they had nothing to worry about. Michael  SkrĂ„mo  aka Abo Ibrahim Al Swedi, has split for the Middle East and joined ISIS.

Oh well. I'm sure the Swedes can find another speaker.

Are Asian-Americans Discriminated Against in College Admissions?

Hat tip College Insurrection

An LA Times article linked in College Insurrection reports that Asian-American kids are being discriminated against in college admissions because of their excellence.

NY Jury Finds PA Liable for Terrorist Deaths

Hat tip Investigative Project on Terrorism

Maybe this should convince more Americans not to support the Palestinian cause. A New York jury has found the Palestinian Authority liable for deaths and injuries to American citizens during the second intifada. The suit was brought by victims and their families.

Any American who supports the Palestinian cause should pause and consider this finding.

In France, Soldiers Guarding Jewish Sites Being Attacked

Hat tip Gallia Watch

It is this bad in France. French soldiers are being posted in front of Jewish schools, synagogues and other Jewish sites for protection all over the country. And the soldiers on guard are being subjected to attacks. Gallia Watch has the story.

Pretty sickening, isn't it? I remember a time when soldiers shot people who attacked them.

Redacted Prayers at the White House

Hat tip Gates of Vienna, Ritamalik, Andrew Bostom and Vlad Tepes

On the morning of the White House Summit on "Countering Violent Extremism" an invocation was read in Arabic by Sheikh Sa'ad Musse Roble. It was translated into English by another gentleman named Abdisalam Adam, a Minneapolis imam. However, the English translation left out a key part of the reading from Sura 5 verse 32 of the Koran.

Gates of Vienna has the report. Watch the video and see how the translator cuts out least half of the actual content.

And you wonder why Obama wants to get the government's hands on the Internet? Who else would keep them honest?

Campus Survey: More Than Half of Jewish Students Experience Anti-Semitism

Hat tip Louis D Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law

In a just published survey of 55 US campuses by the Louis D Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law and Trinity College of Hartford, more than half of Jewish students queried reported experiencing anti-Semitism on campus.

http://brandeiscenter.com/news/news_full/national_survey_of_american_jewish_college_students_shows_high_rate_of_anti

This is an effective reply to certain Jewish national organizations who use their own selected Jewish students to maintain that there is no problem on campus. For example, this has been true for years at UC Irvine, where the Orange County Jewish Federation, the Anti-Defamation League, and Hillel have denied the problem even when Jewish students try to complain about harassment.

And the main source of the problem? No, it's not neo-Nazis or skinheads. It is those who are agitating against Israel and in many instances using Brown Shirt tactics to do so. It is time to stand up to them and expose them.

It Had to Happen: Dopiest Oscar Acceptance Speech

I have no idea who Patricia Arquette is, but then again, I don't get to too many movies. Anyway, somebody named Patricia Arquette won the best supporting actress Oscar for some movie I didn't see and said this:

“To my heroes, volunteers and experts who have helped me bring ecological sanitation to the developing world with Givelove.org. To every woman who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody’s equal rights. It is our time to have wage equality once and for all, and equal rights for women in the United States of America.”

Thank God she didn't list them all by name.

Anti-Semitic Campuses-The Top Ten of 2014

Whew! At least UC Irvine is not on the list.

Hat tip Jew Hatred on Campus

The newly-established blog, Jew Hatred on Campus has complied a list of the ten worst college campuses for anti-Semitism in 2014. I am greatly relieved to see that UC Irvine (where I teach part-time) is not on the list.

http://www.jewhatredoncampus.org/news/10-campuses-worst-anti-semitic-activity

If you were expecting to see information about neo-Nazis, skinheads, Aryan Nation, and all that, I hope you were not too shocked. The poignant teaching point here is that anti-Semitism on US campuses comes to us thanks to the pro-Palestinian folks like Students for Justice in Palestine and various Muslim Student Association chapters. It is all about hating Israel. Did you see a pattern?

"Uhhhhh........yeaaaaah."

So did I.

Al Shabaab Threatens US Malls "Be Vigilant", Says Jeh Johnson

Image result for jeh johnson

The Somali terror organization Al Shabaab is threatening to attack US malls as they did in Kenya, principally the Mall of America in the Minneapolis-St Paul area while DHS director Jeh Johnson is busy giving a voice to US Muslims-to use his words. Oh yes. He is telling us to be vigilant.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/02/23/al-shabaab-reportedly-calls-for-attack-on-mall-america-in-new-video/

It surely makes a lot of sense that the Mall of America would be a primary target. After all, the Minneapolis-St Paul area is home to the country's biggest Somali community-thanks to our government bringing in about 80,000 of them as refugees in the 1990s.

And how about YOU be vigilant, Jeh instead of running around "giving a voice to Muslims"? Last I checked that was not part of your job description.

I watched this empty suit yesterday being interviewed by Fox News. The guy can't even look his interlocutor in the eye when "answering" questions for crying out loud, let alone give a straight answer. Every time this guy looks down and to the right, he is making something up.

But we'll try to be vigilant, Jeh.

In Denmark, Solidarity with the Killer and More Denial From Politicians and Religious Leaders

Hat tip Jihad i Malmo, Gates of Vienna and Vlad Tepes

"The day after the shootings, the political spokesperson of the main liberal opposition party went on television and said, "We are dealing with a small group that is abusing the Koran." In other words, once again we are faced with one or more Muslims who have completely misunderstood their own religion. The implication, of course is that Danes have nothing to fear from the fast growing number of Muslims or the spread of Islam."
-Jihad i Malmo

Omar El-Hussein, the Muslim killer who attacked a free speech meeting and a synagogue in Copenhagen last week, killing two before being killed by police is actually being honored by several young Muslims in Denmark. The spot where he died has become a place of pilgrimage. Meanwhile, the country's leaders and media continue to deny the problem. The below link from the Swedish blog, Jihad i Malmo has a French news report with English sub-titles.

What a wonderful little country Denmark was once. But that was long ago.
