Los Angeles-based attorney Michael Avenatti got his 15 minutes of fame in 2018 representing porn actress Stormy Daniels in a lawsuit against President Trump as well Julie Swetnick, who came forward with unsubstantiated accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. While all this was going on, Avenatti became a rock star on CNN and MSNBC as he regularly trashed Trump. In fact, Avenatti's head got so big while enjoying his 15 minutes of fame, that he announced to the world that he was thinking of running for president.
You talk about delusions of grandeur.
Maybe CNN and MSNBC should have done some background on Avenatti before making him a regular part of their programming. It turns out that his career as an attorney is, shall we say, checkered. Below is some background on Avenatti's life and career.

Alas, for Avenatti, it has all come crashing down after his arrest on charges of beating up a woman in Los Angeles. (At this point, it appears he will not be prosecuted.) He has quietly disappeared from the cable news talk shows and even Stormy Daniels has broken ties with him.
But there is good news, Michael: You are the winner of the Golden Penguin as Fousesquawk's Jerk of the Year for 2018. Maybe that will extend your fame another 15 seconds. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Avenatti wouldn't even be a thing if our POTUS wasn't such a dumpster fire.
Dumpster fire. I like that. Can I use it?
