Milwaukee's Marquette University has been in the news a lot lately and for all the wrong reasons. From a controversy over its seal to the firing of a conservative professor (John McAdams) to a wall mural depicting a cop-killer now living as an escaped prisoner and fugitive in Cuba, Marquette has been going out of its way to embarrass itself.
Now the little rascals (bored students) at Marquette are presenting a list of "demands" to the university. The aforementioned John McAdams has a report on all the shenanigans.

I can tell you, this is not making a big splash in Milwaukee. Nothing in the local press. (Sign of media bias? Or just that nobody is really interested?) I wasn't even aware they had blocked Wisconsin Avenue, so it couldn't have been for long. Of course everything in their manifesto suggests they need psychological counselling... maybe some kind of OCD. But is it really worth the time of day? If three MANDATORY courses in diversity were imposed as they demand, there would be HUNDREDS of students sitting down blocking something or other to demand that the oppressive university administration remove this unwarranted imposition on their academic freedom.
