Here's a clue. The Wall in American GI Parlance got its name from its location-behind the medieval wall that runs around the center of Nuremberg. The Germans call it Frauentorgraben after the grassy ditch that runs in front of the wall where the Frauentor is located- Women's tower.
Someone from Marysvale Utah posted on Tripadvisor:
"When I was in the Army in Germany in the late 60's, there was a place in Nuremberg that was frequented by the GI's. It was referred to as "The Wall". As I seem to recall it was just inside the old city wall and was a block or two long with lots of windows where the working girls showed their wares. Is this section of town still there? I can only find one reference to it on the web and that was an old GI reminiscing about days long gone by."
And someone answered:
"The wall still exists, but it's never frequented by GIs anymore as there are narcs everywhere, and our military has made human trafficking a serious offense, to include soliticing the hard-working ladies."

Well Gary, you have succeeded in finding a topic I know nothing about.
But I suspect it has something to do with one of your favorite beer joints in Germany.
Well, how long are you going to keep us in suspense? It seems like me and elwood are your only company these days, and maybe Lance now and then.

I think you could Google it.
Before I do... next guess is it has something to do with a brothel all the GI's knew about back in the day.
Ah yes, there it is:

You are correct! The big boys used to tell me all kinds of stories about that place, and you can tell your co-respondent, that yes- it is still there.
And it was off-limits to GIs.
