The American Library Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities are involved in a program involving hundreds of schools and colleges across the country entitled, "Let's Talk About it- Muslim Journeys Bookshelf Program ". It is designed to introduce a positive image of Islam through publicly-funded libraries. Creeping Sharia and Vlad Tepes both have up-to-date reports on it- one from Colorado, the other from Illinois. It involves about 25 per-approved books for exhibit.

At least two of the above authors, Qutb and Maududi, were rabidly anti-West, though the former had no qualms about studying in the US and the latter had no qualms about seeking medical treatment in the US.
In addition, Cuesta College participated in a Bookshelf program in May with the local Mt Carmel mosque in San Luis Obispo, California.

What's wrong with that?
Cuz if they tried to glorify Christianity through publicly-funded whatever, the courts would shoot it down.
The words "glorify" and "positive image" are two very different things. When is the last time you heard anyone in church singing "Paint a positive image of His Name"???
If Americans by and large didn't understand Christianity or have access to information about what it is, I would definitely favor remedial courses on the subject. But our ignorance of Islam seems considerably greater, so perhaps adding some data to the curriculum would be a good idea. Judaism too.
