I kind of liked "a."
But the earlier dialog reminded me of the scene in "Roots" where Alex Haley does his interview with George Lincoln Rockwell (who, for all you UCSC-Community Studies majors, was founder and feuhrer of the American Nazi Party, famous for the statement "You can't fight communism unless you understand that it is Jewish. I am not saying all Jews are communists, but I am saying that all communists are Jews.")
Rockwell called Haley the night before and asked "Are you Jewish, Mr. Haley." The reporter answered "No I'm not."
Upon seeing the man's color, Rockwell said "You deceived me." No, Haley replied, you asked if I was Jewish. I'm not, I'm Methodist."
Rockwell made a remark about Haley's color, and Haley said "I've been called that many times, but this is the first time I've been paid for it."
Is that anything like saying "All communists are socialists, but not all socialists are communists"??
I believe that is the case, no??
And who could not love Ms. McKinney, she of the absolutely demented eyes??
