LA Woman Goes Bonko After Pleading to Fraud

Here is the story of Rita Aleksanyan, an LA woman who has pleaded guilty to bribery. She was caught red-handed delivering $7,500 in cash to a local government official who was supposed to set up several of her friends for what is called Section 8 relief. That is a program where the city of  Los Angeles, with help from the federal government, picks up 70% of the rental costs for people who are poor, elderly or disabled.

It seems poor Rita doesn't appreciate the publicity she is suffering for her crime. She is about to get more. The above video has gone viral within the LA news area, and hopefully nationally as well since  federal funds are involved.

Below from LA Weekly are more details of the case, which involved 7 others and Aleksanyan's ridiculous sentence.

Yep. Three days in Lee Baca's resort, 3 years probation and 300 hours community service.

I bet you she's an immigrant from the former Soviet Union. How about sending her back?

Careful Findalis... maybe she' Jewish?

I don't mind community service in lieu of being supported by taxpayers for several years, but the community service should be enough hours so that, at $10 an hour, she will work off the entire amount of the bribe. that would be 750 hours.

She should spend it fixing up run-down housing.
