Hillary in Nigeria-The Diplomatic Gaffes Continue

Hey! She's tired.

Wednesday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continued her disastrous tour of Africa by comparing the last (questionable) Nigerian election to the 2000 US election.

Of course, her apologists like Chris Matthews will dismiss this latest ridiculous statement, and Democrats will pass it off to her being tired-or perhaps upset at her erstwhile husband having upstaged her with his trip to North Korea, where he stole the credit from Hillary's own State Department employees and White House officials, who actually did the heavy work.

The fact is that Hillary followed up her diplomatic gaffe in Kinshasa with another gaffe in Nigeria-denigrating her own country and comparing our electoral process to Nigeria's.

If I were President Obama, I would order her home immediately before she does any more damage.

And here is a bit of information for our "Secretary of State": Nigeria is a hell-hole that other African countries consider the most corrupt on their continent. For her to compare the US to Nigeria is outrageous.

Again, I see nothing wrong with what she said. Is America immune from making mistakes? Isn't it better to admit that even in "our less than perfect union" there is room for improvement and that we are not better than other people, even though this is what you imply by accusing her of comparing "them" to "us". No wonder the world hates us with this kind of selfrighteous attitude. A little humility is a good thing.

Problem is, Ingrid, that Obama and Clinton have done nothing but apologize for America's sins when they go to other countries. As for humility, let's not forget that in almost every country she has gone to, she has upbraided them for their corruption. Her performnce at the university in Kinshasa didn't show a lot of humility. I fear Hillary has not done much for our relations.
