Let's Play "Name That Uncle"

Red Army victory parade in Red Square 1945. Could Barack Obama's uncle be in that picture? (I don't think so.)

Yesterday, Barack Obama told a crowd of curious on-lookers that his uncle helped liberate Auschwitz.

Fact: Barack Obama never had an uncle. (His mother was an only child.)

Fact: The American Army did not liberate Auschwitz. The Red Army did.

Today, the Obama campaign has issued a clarification that Obama had a great uncle who helped liberate a work camp at Ohrdruf, which was a satellite camp of Buchenwald in the German state of Thuringia. (Auschwitz was in Poland.)

* Normally, I don't do two consecutive "Let's play...", but this was too good to resist.

Hey Gary, lighten up. The poor man had his uncle in an attic for years. It must have been stressful when the family let him out, and you know how stress can affect your memory....

At what point does Obama become nothing more than fodder for the next Saturday Night Live skit?

What a joke- sniper fire in Bosnia, uncle who liberated Auschwitz. What's next? Invented Internet?

Gary, stop doing the "invented the internet" joke. You know better than that. Makes you seem O'Reillyish

But it's true and forever a part of Gore's legacy-just like him being the model for Romeo and Juliet and uncovering the Love canal. But that's nothing compared to his legacy 25 years from now when everyone realizes there was nothing to this Global Warming hysteria.

Gary, come on, we've done this dance before and darn you for making me defend Gore. He never said those things. You're waging the "War on Reality" here. (And I'll ignore the Romeo & Juliet thing - as I know that it's another story that you were referring to.

Since we've done this dance before, I'll "sit this one" out. I can't expend too much energy on that boob.
