DePaul Suspends SJP Chapter

DePaul University (for all you UC Santa Cruz Community Studies majors, that's in Chicago) has become the latest university to suspend its Students for Justice in Palestine chapter. SJP at DePaul is suspended until 2027 as a result of its chronic disruptive behavior and charges of anti-Semitism. Campus Reform has the story here.

Here's a fun fact: DePaul is the same university that fired Norman Finkelstein several years ago. Unlike SJP, Finkelstein was permanently removed. The last time I saw him speak at UC Irvine, his "title" was "Independent scholar with a PhD from Princeton".

But I digress.

While I applaud this latest action by DePaul, the suspension of SJP should be made permanent. How many SJP suspensions do we have to see around the country before universities wake up to the fact that SJP is a malignant cancer that is bringing havoc and Jew hatred to our campuses? They will not change their stripes because of a suspension. I promise you, when SJP returns to DePaul in 2017, they will continue their same behavior. Not only should the suspension be permanent, but these students who engage in disruptive and anti-Semitic behavior should be expelled.

And who is Norman Finkelstein, you ask?

You don't wanna know.
