Hat tip Jihad Watch
Think he looks better with or without the rag?
Here comes another university-based event focusing on that big bad wolf called "Islamophobia". No, there will be no Hatem Bazian at this one. It's at Georgetown University on February 26 and featuring Dr Daniel Martin Varisco, a professor of anthropology. Jihad Watch has the report.

In visiting the link to the announcement, I found that you can actually e-mail your comments to the organizer while registering (or not registering, for that matter). So I did. Here is what I wrote:
"I wonder if Mr Varisco will be discussing the plight of Coptic Christians in Egypt, or Christians in Syria, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Nigeria or virtually every other Muslim-majority country. Will he be discussing the plight of Baha'i in Iran? How about gays in Iran? Will he be discussing the plight of European Jews who are leaving the continent in droves as a result of being harassed and assaulted on European streets by young male Muslim immigrants?
If he is not prepared to discuss the persecution of religious minorities in Muslim lands, then his presentation is worthless. Is that not pertinent to any discussion of "Islamophobia"?
If I get a response, I will post it. It is highly unlikely that the points I mentioned will be discussed.
