Obama and Malik Zulu Shabazz on the Same Podium???

Andrew Breitbart and BigGovernment have come up with shocking photo evidence that purports that Barack Obama and the New Black Panther Party shared the same podium in Selma, Alabama at a campaign appearance by Obama in 2007.

Somebody please come forward and tell me that these photos are doctored-anything but tell me that Obama shared a podium or participated in any way with the New Black Panther Party and the odious Malik Zulu Shabazz, a vicious racist.

Keep in mind that this is no ordinary black advocacy group. This is a virulently racist group, the same group involved in the notorious Philadelphia polling station in 2008 where white voters were met by NBPP members carrying billy-clubs-the same case that the Holder Justice Department dropped.

Somebody tell me this is all manufactured.

  1. It's from Breitbart. Of course its manufactured. Aside from that fundamental truism. there are discrepancies that are easier to spot than the "find ten differences between these cartoons" puzzles that Highlights and the Sunday comics page offer for children.

The greyish columns in the background are subtlely different, the angle of the sunlight on Obama's face is not quite right (although the cut and paste was well chosen and skillfully done), and there are too many differences in the people around each speaker.

I suspect Breitbart, or his staff, got the idea from the similarity between the rear view of one woman with dreads, and the front view of the other, both wearing a white sweater.

However, God had his reasons for allowing this scam to be promulgated. This is Obama's punishment for being all to willing to believe Breitbart's scam about Shirley Sherrod. Perhaps some nice white couple who were present for whatever speech Obama did give will step forward and announce that the press are not treating him right.

  2. They're real. Obama did everything he could to get some street Reps when he first ran for office.

  3. Siarlys,

J Christian Adams was on Hannity tonight and discussed the event. I don't think it was manufactured.

  4. Give me a break! This picture is interesting, but, I think that a group shot of Obama with all his friends would really be great. Imagine, a group shot of Obama, Wright, Ayers, Dorhn, Van Jones, Jody Evans, Khalidi, Farakan, Malik Shabazz, King "Cracker Killer" Shabazz, Anita Dunn and Mr. and Mrs Sunstein, etc.

  5. When he first ran for office? You mean for state senator? Or challenging Bobbie Rush?

  6. So Breitbart is trying to say that as an unknown candidate for state senate, Obama showed up at some campus event to introduce himself, and sometime or other this Malik character also spoke at the same event, and that's supposed to mean anything? It wasn't an Obama-organized event (he probably couldn't afford any), it probably wasn't a Malik-organized event (a new candidate would have known to find another venue), probably everybody and their uncle was free to talk up to the mike. The only similarity in the two photos is

    1) the wall in the background, and,

    2) the woman with the white sweater and the braids.

This is "sharing the same podium"? I bet on that basis Gary has "shared the same podium" with some of his favorite MSU speakers! (This does sound about right for Breitbart though).
