With my most sincere greetings for your good health, my name is Trevor Obama. I am the CEO of the National Bank of Ghana. I am also the brother of the late Mr Barack Obama Sr, the father of the American president Barack Obama, and thus, am the president's uncle. I am writing to you in the hope you can assist me in this most urgent and discreet matter. Your name has been forwarded to me by the White House as a person of trust.
That's right.
Our bank is in possession of $ 250 million dollar account in the name of Barack Obama. As Ghanian constitution forbids an account being in the name of a US president, we must dispose of this account immediately.
That's right.
If you will send me your full name, social security number and bank account number, I can immediately forward the money in this account to you-in exchange for 15% for my humble services.
That's right.
Please call me at 0041-02-6577363 (That is our UK branch location) with the information requested.
Yours truly and God bless you,"
Trevor Obama, Esq.
Your humble servant
But Wait!!!
Call within the next two minutes, and I'll throw in $535 million from our secret Solyndra account.
This could be a joke by Gary Fouse. On the other hand, it could be a real email circulating in cyberspace right now. It's about on the same level as most of the ones I've received. This scam has been running now for over twenty years! Are there STILL people who fall for it? There must be, or new letters wouldn't still be getting generated. Does anybody not know that Barack Obama Sr. died before his son went to college?
ReplyDeleteApparently, a UCI professor lost $300,000 in this scam.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't you, I assume.
ReplyDeleteYou assume correctly. I don't have a phd.
