I am cross-posting an article by Steven Emerson in the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) regarding a book they have just published on the Congress of American Islamic Relations (CAIR). The book, written by Emerson and his staff, is entitled, "CAIR's anti-Semitism unmasked"
This organization, founded in the US in the 1990s as a front group for Hamas, poses as a civil rights organization for Muslims in the US. In reality, it is a subversive organization that exists to advance the interests of Islamists and disseminate propaganda against the Jewish state of Israel. In truth, this organization is anti-Semitic-anti-Jewish to its core. Its chapter leaders across the nation have a long history of anti-Semitic statements.
In Southern California, I have had several encounters with two of CAIR's regional chapter leaders, Hussam Ayloush of Southern California, and Zahra Billoo of San Francisco. Both have incurred accusations of anti-Semitism many times over the years. On one occasion, I personally heard (and videotaped) Ayloush making derogatory references about Jewish Americans who join the Israeli Defense Forces, "killing the people of Gaza". I am proud to note that one of the footnotes (#693) in this book refers to a posting I wrote on Ayloush's anti-Jewish comments. (I have told Ayloush to his face that I consider him an anti-Semite who represents a despicable organization.)
