Allah Is Akhbar Once Again in The Netherlands

Hat tip New English Review

On Wednesday afternoon, Dutch police responded to a disturbance in an apartment in the town of Schiedam. They were confronted with a 26-year-old man screaming "Allahu Akhbar" and wielding an axe. Police shot the man, but not before he fatally wounded their police dog.

There is something dreadfully wrong when so many Muslims invoke the name of their god when committing horrendous acts of violence. Yet, when you learn the Koran, the hadith, the  life and words of Mohammad, it all comes together. There is nothing peaceful about Islam. It is nothing more than a murderous ideology of hate and violence. It has  no place in any civilized, free country. It is only at home in the hellholes of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Libya and too many other hellholes that I can list here.

There are, of course, decent Muslims, but they are unable or unwilling to make a difference.

The Attack in Liège: Interview With Hostage

Hat tip Gates of Vienna, Ava Lon for translation and Vlad Tepes for sub-titling.

On May 29, a Belgian citizen and convert to Islam, Benjamin Herman, killed two policewomen in the Belgian city of Liège,  killed a third victim, then was shot and killed by police. Below is an interview (in French with English sub-titles) with a Muslim cleaning lady who was held as hostage by Herman.

https://gatesofvienna.net/2018/05/interview-with-the-hostage-taken-by-the-mujahid-of-liege/

I am glad the hostage was not harmed. It is chilling, however, that she was spared only because she was Muslim.

The threat to Europe and North America is self evident. It comes either from ISIS fighters infiltrating the ranks of refugees from the carnage in the Middle East, or from Muslim residents already in the West who are inspired by the call from ISIS to attack where they live. This also includes converts like Herman.

President Trump is 100% justified in wanting to restrict the flow of Muslims into the US.

Man Attached by Somalis in Maine

Hat tip Vlad Tepes and Maine First Media

Maine is the latest dumping point for Somali refugees that our feckless government  is bringing in the country. Below is a result. A group of ten or so young Somalis attacks a man in Kennedy Park in Lewiston.

Another Nigerian Success Story in Italy

Hat tip Gates of Vienna and Vlad Tepes

Here is another heart-warming example of how badly Italy is handily its refugee/migration crisis. A Nigerian guy went berserk at an Italian post office. He fought arriving police off with an iron bar before he was caught. But here is the really good news. The man was tried, convicted and sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, but immediately set free. And there's more! Since he is an asylum-seeker, he cannot be deported.

Probable Act of Terror in Belgium

Hat tip Vlad Tepes

A Belgian ex-convict attacked and killed three people, including two  female police officers, in  Liege, Belgium today. Police are investigating it as a likely act of terrorism. The attacker was killed by police.

He is identified as Benjamin Herman, a Belgian. Aside from the reported shout of "Allahu Akhbar", police state that Herman was known to associate with "extremists". Sounds like code for Muslim extremists.

Two Names on the Wall (Annual Re-Post)

Image result for vietnam memorial

"Forever young"

As I do every Memorial Day, I am reposting my 2007 post, "Two Names on the Wall'. It concerns two of my high school friends who died in Vietnam. Also note the reader comment left by Frank, who was serving in combat when one of these heroes gave his life for his country and for hie buddies.

Two Names on the Wall

Dorian Jan Houser (1946-1967)
Michael G Vinassa (1946-1966)

The recent news that someone had defaced the Viet Nam War Memorial in Washington served to bring back my memories of two of my childhood friends whose names appear on that wall. Mike Vinassa and Dorian Houser were both from west Los Angeles, where I also grew up. We belonged to the same high school social club. All three of us entered military service after high school. I was assigned to Germany; they were sent to Viet Nam. I returned and went on with the rest of my life. They died in Viet Nam. Forty years later, with our country once again at war and American soldiers sacrificing their lives for America, we should also remember those that gave their lives in Viet Nam.

Dorian

I first knew Dorian in the 1950s. He and his brother, Lee, played on my little league team. Their father was our coach. Later, my relationship with Dory continued in school. In high school, we both belonged to a club called the Chancellors of Venice. As was common in west LA, there were many (off-campus) clubs formed for social purposes. We all had our club jackets, with the name of the club and locale (Venice or WLA) embroidered on the back. The colors of the clubs varied (ours was green). As we ended our high school days, these clubs disbanded as we went our separate ways-off to college, work or military service. In Dory's case, he entered the Marines in 1966, and after training, was sent to Viet Nam. On May 10, 1967, one month before his 21st birthday, he was killed in Quang Tin. He was hit in the chest by shrapnel and killed instantly.

I happened to be home on leave from Germany when we got the news that Dory was dead. I was able to attend his funeral before returning back to Germany. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it after all these years, but I chose not to wear my uniform to the funeral, simply because I was afraid his family might react emotionally to it. I have always regretted that decision.

Dory was the kind of guy that no one could dislike. He was friendly and unassuming. Needless to say, his funeral was a sad and emotional event. In the last couple of years, I have visited his grave a couple of times since my mother-in-law is interred in the same cemetery. About a year ago, I came across a posting about Dory by his sister. She described her brother and was looking for anyone who knew Dory and remembered him. I answered her post, but the email is no longer valid. As yet, I have not been able to contact her.

Mike

Mike Vinassa was also a member of the Chancellors. He was a stout, barrel-chested kid with a big tattoo on his shoulder, something unusual at the time for someone so young (still in high school). Needless to say, he was tough and didn't mind a good fight. Most other kids knew not to mess with him, but among his friends, he was well-liked. I remember one night we were at a party and he wanted to (playfully) roughhouse with me. We started slap-fighting and wrestling on the front yard of the house, and (somehow) I was able to throw him to the ground and fall on top of him. As you may know, innocent roughhousing among teenagers can easily turn into a real fight, and I remember thinking that Mike might suddenly get mad, so I rolled over and let him get on top, thus letting him win the match.

After high school, I went on to complete 2 years of college before I entered the Army. I basically lost touch with Mike and Dory at that time.

I had recently arrived at my post of duty in Germany when I came across Mike's name while reading the Viet Nam obituaries in the Army Times. It wasn't until several months ago that I learned the circumstances of Mike's death, which occurred on May 22, 1966.

Mike was a member of C Co, Ist Bn, 8th Cavalry, 1st Cav Division (US Army). Ironically, Mike was a short-timer, soon to return to the US, and, on that day, assigned to non-combat duties. Yet he insisted on accompanying his unit on a final combat mission in the Vinh Thanh Valley. It was on that final mission, that Mike lost his life-under heroic conditions. He personally led a group of his comrades in charging and taking out a machine gun nest that was pinning down his unit, but was fatally shot in the process. For his actions, Mike was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. His sole survivor was his mother.

In subsequent years, I have been able to find both their names on the Viet Nam Memorial. (I was living in the Washington area at the time.) As stated, I have visited Dory's grave, but as yet, have not identified Mike's cemetery. When I look back at my life after the Army, I contemplate how I finished college, began my career, got married, had children, retired, and now find myself in my 60s. But as I looked down on Dory's grave, I realized that he and Mike are frozen in time-forever 20 years old. I wonder what became of their parents, the rest of the families.

In a sense, today's soldiers are more fortunate than those who went to Viet Nam. The overwhelming majority of the American people greatly respect them (with the notable exception of the usual mindless idiots who are not worth further mention in this essay). Soldiers returning from Viet Nam were often subject to despicable treatment from those of their own generation who did everything they could to avoid military service. Once the Viet Nam War ended, the country wanted to forget about it as quickly as possible-after all, it was just a tragic period in our history. We also forgot about our Viet Nam veterans who came back alive-in so many cases, as walking wounded. They deserved so much better from us. They are still among us, and in many cases, still wounded.

All of us who lost friends or family members in Viet Nam should try to keep their memories alive and honor them. God rest their souls.

Thanks Gary,
These two men deserve our admiration and respect. Your description of Mike fits him to a tee. Mike was not going to sit back and take the easy way out. He was ready for a scrap and his actions confirm his bravery and courage. A lot of us owe our lives to him for taking out that machine gun. He broke the enemy defense and made the rest of the battle easier for us. During the toughest part of the battle , Mike moved up, under tremendous enemy fire and went straight at the enemy. He lives on as a young courageous warrier in the hearts of us who remember him.

Thank you, Frank for adding this piece of information on Mike.

Most of all, thanks to you and all your men for your service in Viet Nam. You have my never-ending respect.

Geert Wilders Speaks Out on Arrest of Tommy Robinson

Hat tip Vlad Tepes

This week, British Islam critic Tommy Robinson was arrested for the "crime" of live streaming in front of a British courthouse where yet another group of Muslim sexual groomers was being held. The judge in the case has slapped him into jail for 13 months and issued a gag order on the press (which, of course, sites like Fousesquawk are not bound by).

Here is Geert Wilders, leader of the Dutch Freedom Party, speaking in front of the British embassy in the Hague.

As far as I am concerned, Britain is gone, surrendered to the forces of Islam, a country that has lost the pride it once held under Winston Churchill. Today, it is nothing more than what Hitler and Goebbels said it was (erroneously at the time), a "nation of shopkeepers." Worse yet, it is a nation that has cast aside freedom of speech so as not to offend its restive Muslim population. Muslims can stand outside Buckingham Palace (as they did) and scream, "Burn burn Buckingham" with impunity. Yet, Tommy Robinson is now facing 13 months in a Muslim-infested prison, from where he very possibly will not emerge alive, all because he was live streaming outside a courthouse.

Last week, I chose not to watch the "Fairy Tale Wedding" of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, not because I have anything against them, rather because it is simply too surreal to watch and to listen to British and American reporters gush about the "Moment We Have All Been Waiting for". This was all against the backdrop of freedom of speech being silenced while Pakistani Muslim gangs of rapists force British schoolgirls into sexual slavery and proclaim that Islam will rule Britain, a prophesy coming true before our very eyes.

So it's time for the Brits to go back to their shops and tend their nice little gardens-in silence. One day, the era of democracy will be a distant memory just like the British Empire.

Is There Equal Justice in the US?

This article first appeared in New English Review.

Eric Holder, the corrupt former Attorney General under President Obama, is in the news this week calling on the DOJ and FBI to stonewall President Trump's call for transparency and public disclosure in connection with their efforts to derail the Trump presidential campaign.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton took her sour grapes tour to Harvard this week, where she received an insignificant award for being "transformative". (Hell, Hitler was transformative too. That's not necessarily a good thing.)

More than any two public figures I can think of, these two raise the question in my mind of whether there is equal justice in America.

We hear a lot of talk these days about equal justice, largely thanks to groups like Black Lives Matter. It is their contention that African Americans do not receive equal justice due to their high rates of incarceration and the greatly publicized shootings of black suspects by police. That's a complicated subject. Suffice to say I disagree with the position and tactics of BLM.

However, the public careers of Holder and Clinton have led me to conclude that there is one tier of justice for some and another tier for others.

Eric Holder is the man who, as a high ranking official in the DOJ, ramrodded the pardon of fugitive financier Marc Rich  around the normal procedure at DOJ right up to President Bill Clinton's desk. It was one of the most controversial pardons in history. We later learned that Bill Clinton had a "friendship" with Rich's ex-wife. The whole thing stunk, but there were no repercussions.

As attorney general, Holder reigned over Operation Fast and Furious, an ATF operation that allowed thousands of weapons to be bought in US gun stores by a straw purchaser then transported into Mexico without any notification to Mexican police or any surveillance or tracking. The goal was to later recover the weapons after shootings in Mexico and show that US-purchased weapons were responsible for much of the bloodshed in Mexico's drug and gang wars. Hence, the need for more gun control.

Holder repeatedly denied any knowledge of the operation before Congress. In my view, he committed perjury. As a former DEA agent who occasionally worked with ATF, I know that such an operation could never have been concocted by street agents in Arizona, as Holder and his minions led us to believe. Fast and Furious had to have been the work of the highest levels of the Justice Department. Any other explanation makes no sense. When then- head of DHS, Janet Napolitano, spoke at UCLA, I had the opportunity to tell her that personally and ask her point blank why she never demanded answers from Holder. Of course, I got a run-around and a scolding for rolling my eyes.

Then there is Hillary Clinton herself, the queen of the dual justice  system. This woman's entire life has been one scheme after another from the Rose Law Firm to Travelgate to the Clinton Foundation to Benghazi to her email scandal. Yet, she came so close to becoming president of the United States.

As secretary of state, Clinton and her underlings ignored pleas for enhanced security at the consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Then the inevitable happened. The consulate was attacked and the ambassador, Chris Stevens, and three others were killed while any effort at rescue was told to "stand down". Then came the cover up and the lies. It should have disqualified Clinton from any further public office.

Later, we learned that as  secretary of state, Clinton had disregarded the use of the department's secure system of communications, one I had to use when I was a DEA agent stationed overseas in Thailand and Italy. These were rules every last foreign service officer is well aware of. Yet, Clinton had her own "system" clearly designed to evade Congressional oversight and later historians. It had all the security of a personal cooking blog. Like everything else in Hillary's career, lies and cover ups ensured, and in the end, the FBI, in spite of plenty of evidence, declined to prosecute. Now we know that ex-director James Comey and his cronies had written the exoneration memo months before they even "interviewed:" Clinton. The interview itself was a joke. The fix was in.

It pains me to say this as a former Justice Department agent who served with pride and a conviction that ours was the best system of justice in the world. But when you look at the careers of Hillary Clinton and Eric Holder, it is clear that something is amiss in our justice system. These two have gotten away time and time again with crimes that the rest of us would have been dealt with swiftly. They have made a mockery of the notion that that is equal justice for all in this great nation.

British UKIP leader Nigel Farage is still sticking it to the European Parliament. In this recent video he is shown telling the EP bureaucrats why Brexit succeeded and what he thinks of tiny little Belgium. As usual, it is quite funny.

Brits Protest Arrest of Tommy Robinson

Hat tip Vlad Tepes and Gates of Vienna

Yesterday in London, British counter jihad activist Tommy Robinson was arrested for live streaming outside the trail of the latest batch of Muslim sex groomers. Today, there is a protest going on in his defense. Below is a live stream of the protest.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXRmDO5DYGo

Here from Vlad Tepes is a comment from a participant in today's protest.

"Hello all, just got backfrom (sic) the Whitehall demo, I can comfirm (sic)  there were around 400+ of us there towards the end of it. I saw this young woman there vlogging live but didn't get the chance to say hi.
Towards the end we sat down in the road that we had blockeed with shear numbers, the police were completely unprepared for the number of people who showed up, mostly Londoners as it had less than 24 hours notice.
Tomorrow there are going to be speeches at speakers corner in Hyde Park starting at one (13.00 hrs) until four. Be there if you can make it guys, amoung (sic)  the speakers is Anne Marie Waters so it should be a good event. NSE."

Free speech? Not in the UK.

Update: Here is more on the Robinson arrest, and it is deeply disturbing.

Hillary's New Medal

Image result for rusty medal

So Hillary Clinton has been awarded something called the Radcliffe Medal by Harvard University for having " a transformative" effect on our society.

Did I get that right?

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/05/25/clinton-declares-crisis-in-our-democracy-as-harvard-gives-her-medal.html

I'll say! As First Lady, her and her husband transformed the White House into a sleazy den of corruption.

As secretary of State, she transformed the State  Department into a incompetent, corruption-ridden bureaucracy and used her top secret communication system as if it were a personal blog.

With her and Bill's Clinton Foundation, she transformed the idea of charity into a giant money-laundering enterprise.

Now she goes around collecting honors and crying that there is a crisis in our democracy. Any time a person like this wins her party's nomination to run for president, there is, indeed, a crisis in our democracy.

Shame on Harvard for giving Hillary Clinton this or any other medal.

Gaza Behind the Smokescreen

Gaza Behind the Smokescreen gives you the truth behind those Palestinian "protests" in Gaza. It shows how  the terrorist of Hamas drive their people to the border fence with Israel including their own children. This is what you don't see from Western media and the universities.

"Gaza Behind the Smokescreen, two brilliant videos, exceptional footage, implacable proof of the genocidal hatred unleashed in the Hamas-orchestrated "peaceful demonstrations" in Gaza. By our intrepid filmmaker, Pierre Rehov."

What kind of people drive their own children into harm's way actually hoping they will be killed for propaganda purposes? I'll tell what kind: People we should never support in any manner.

Brown Shirts Disrupt Nikki Haley at U Houston

On May 22, our great ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, spoke at the University of Houston. Since Haley is a strong supporter of Israel, the know-nothings of Students for Justice in Palestine showed up to do the only thing they know how to do-disrupt.

And note the pro-Palestinian tilt from the Campus paper, Daily Cougar.

http://thedailycougar.com/2018/05/22/nikki-haley-protest/

"Unhappy with Haley’s response to Israel’s violence against Palestine — specifically in regard to a recent attack in Gaza that resulted in the deaths of 60 people — the participants pulled together a grassroots effort through social media to protest her on-campus appearance."

Add UH to the long list of schools embarrassed by Students for Justice in Palestine.

When Universities Allow Anti-Semitism and Trample Free Speech

This article first appeared in New English Review.

As a former part-time teacher at the University of California at Irvine, during the 10 or so years I have been involved in issues of anti-semitism on campus, I and other outraged community members have occasionally stated that Jewish donors should cease their contributions to UCI as long as the school turned a blind eye to anti-semitism. (They still do,) Some of us have also suggested that Jewish students might consider  institutions of higher learning other than UCI. (Many do.) In addition, I have joined with like-minded colleagues and written or signed onto letters to the chancellor of UCI, the president of the UC system, and the UC Regents about harassment, insults and disruptions of Jewish pro-Israeli events on the UCI campus, as well as other UC campuses. My last letter to UCI was last week.

Yet, as I write this, the problems persist.

In addition, conservative speakers on college campuses across the country, like Ben Shapiro, can always expect to be disrupted by progressive or pro-Palestinian thugs. Remarkably, virtually every university lets the disruptors get away with it. We have just seen it again at UC Irvine, and we have just seen it again at UCLA.

So what is there to do? I offer these suggestions.

1 Bring in the lawyers. If a university refuses to provide a safe environment for its Jewish students and turns a blind eye to the excesses of groups like Students for Justice in Palestine or the Muslim Student Associations, sue the institution on equal protection grounds. This would likely mean that affected students would be the plaintiffs (if willing) in some sort of class action suit.

2 Get to the donors. If Jewish donors to a university are educated about what is going on, I would hope that many would give their money elsewhere. Likewise, if donors care about free speech issues and their favored university is not protecting free speech rights for conservatives they can give their money elsewhere.

3 Don't send your kids to an anti-semitic campus. This is problematic because it's hard to find a university that isn't politically correct, where conservative thought isn't stifled, or where Palestinian supporters engage in intimidation.

4 Writing letters is good, but they must be en masse.

One problem we have encountered over the years as to the anti-Jewish issue at UC Irvine, is that there are powerful voices in the Jewish community who oppose any effort to discourage Jewish students from enrolling at UCI. They say that, "Jewish life is alive and well at UCI". They argue that if there are more Jews at UCI, pro-Israel voices will be increased. They will tell you that the administration and Jewish students have done a good job of keeping everything under control-even after the latest pro-Israel event is disrupted (the last three years in May). They have fought back against every effort by some on campus or in the Jewish community to educate the public as to the severity of the problem. They say the students don't want community members getting involved. Do you want me to name names? I will be happy to.

The Orange County Jewish Federation and Family Services
Hillel
Anti-Defamation League

Ben Shapiro, a young, Jewish, conservative pundit who supports Israel, routinely meets resistance and disruption when he is invited to speak on a campus. But here is an encouraging note: The University of Minnesota recently  put limits on his speaking appearance sponsored by the Young America's Foundation, a conservative student group. As a result, the "Yellow Gophers" of Minnesota have lost a donor.

In short, it is time to fight back. Many chapters of the College Republicans, Young America's Foundation, Students Supporting Israel, or (Fill in the Blank) for Israel are standing up and in many cases, shaming the respective university. They need our support. The enemies of Israel, of conservatives and free speech are playing dirty. They intimidate and disrupt at every opportunity. If students are willing to stand up for what they believe in, we owe it to them to support them. If the universities will not support them (and they aren't), these institutions must be held accountable.

CAIR's Hussam Ayloush Steps in it Again

Hussam Ayloush with Muslim Brotherhood poster

Algemeiner, a great Jewish web site out of New York, has an interesting article on the Southern California director, Hussam Ayloush, a hot-tempered guy who continually sticks his foot in his mouth. Ayloush has a history of making incendiary remarks that have led to accusations of anti-semitism. Now, he is in hot water for calling on the US Government to investigate American Jews who join the Israeli Defense Forces. Algemeiner has the report here.

This is not the first time Ayloush has made this statement. On January 9, 2015, I attended a panel discussion on "The Crisis of ISIS" at the Orange County Islamic Center in Garden Grove, California. Ayloush was one of the panelists. Aside from ISIS, there was discussion on the program of "Countering Violent Extremism" (CVE), which was initiated during the Obama administration. CVE was an attempt to nip potential terrorists in the bud by working with mosques to identify those showing signs of radicalization. Among the national Muslim leadership, it had both supporters and detractors. Ayloush took the occasion of this panel to ask why there was no such program in the synagogues regarding young Jewish men going off to Israel to join the Israeli Defense Forces, "killing the people of Gaza". Fortunately, I videotaped the meeting, so Ayloush's words are preserved. You can access the video at my posting here. Go to video 126 (4th one down). The comments start at the 8:58 mark.

University of Minnesota Loses Donor Support Over Ben Shapiro Flap

Image result for university of minnesota golden gophers
Yellow Gophers

The below article by Fox News is pretty much self explanatory. The conservative student group Young America's Foundation, had arranged to host conservative pundit Ben Shapiro at the University of Minnesota. Then the group and Shapiro got the typical academic resistance. Now the Yellow Gophers have discovered that they have lost a donor.

 http://insider.foxnews.com/2018/05/24/ben-shapiro-lecture-fallout-donor-pulls-funding-university-minnesota-discriminating

This, Dear Reader, is precisely the response that is needed to these university outrages. When free speech is trampled on a university campus, conservative donors should give their money elsewhere.

When Jewish students are subjected to harassment, insults, and disruption of their events from pro-Palestinian punks, Jewish donors and all donors of good conscious should give the money elsewhere.

Those Swedish "youth" (ungdomer) are at it again. Fria Tider, one of the few Swedish outlets willing to put quotation marks on the word ungdomer, has the report. It's an open secret that when the media and authorities refe to "youth" committing crimes, they are referring to young, male, Muslim immigrants. Now the Swedish Democrats are proposing a minimum of 4 years in prison for those who attack emergency personnel. Translation by Fousesquawk.

SD: Attacks against blue-light personnel should bring at least four years in prison

Published May 24, 2018 at 16.05
DOMESTIC. After yesterday's stone throwing incident against the rescue service in Uddevalla, the Swedish Democrats now want such perpetrators to be severely punished: at least four years in prison.

It was just before 23:00 that the rescue service in Uddevalla was alerted that "young people" had an  uncontrolled fire in a barbecue area.
Upon arrival they were met by stone throwing and personnel were hit by stones, but without serious injury.
Now the Swedish Democrats want to put on the  hard gloves against people behind such attacks.
At least four years in prison, according to the party.
"During yesterday, the rescue service was exposed to stone throwing when they were on duty. One of the emergency services staff was hit." For SD, it's completely unacceptable to attack blue-light personnel. We therefore propose a minimum sentence of at least four years in prison, "the Swedish Democrats wrote on Twitter.
