Stop me if you've heard this one before. An Afghan guy in the Netherlands beheads a woman and gets 12 years in prison. He is let off after 7 years and moves to the UK with no border checks. Then he gets busted for attacking two cops with a hammer.

Oh, you've heard it before?
Of course in the Fousesquawk adaptation, the Afghan guy is executed by the Dutch, at which point, the story ends. Or in an alternative version, he is never let out of Afghanistan, and everyone including the female victim lives happily ever after.
Charles Dickens could have never dreamed up a story like this.
