Charges Brought in Murder of Iranian Activist

It was an honor killing

When Iranian exile and activist Gelareh Bagherzadeh was murdered in Houston in 2012, there was suspicion that Iran might have been behind it. Instead, it was a honor killing involving a Jordanian family.

Ali Irsan had been indicted last year and two family members were charged with fraud while their involvement in the killing was investigated.

With the flood of Syrian immigrants being brought here by our State Department, no doubt, we will see more such cases.
