"Whether
(Is that how it goes?)
$1,000 for the reception
$15,000 for the dinner (That's just for the chicken. Steak is $32,000.)
Thursday, Los Angeles was graced by yet another fund-raising visit from President Obama. This followed Joe Biden's visit to an LA bakery where he spoke in favor of raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
"That's a big f----n' deal."
Indeed.
At any rate, once again LA traffic, which is almost always snarled, was snarled twice as bad with the Prez in town. But that's just the price that the subjects must pay. Strategic streets must be blocked off by LAPD, LASD, the Secret Service, and don't forget the Accountability Review Board. The reason is that the motorcade will be passing within a mile of said closed -off streets. You never know. There might be some guy from Liberia driving around with Ebola.
This time the party was at the Brentwood home of some actress named Gwyneth Paltrow (I hope I have that spelled right.) Breitbart picks it up from there.

Isn't it amazing how the Dems hold these mega-fund-raisers paying thousands of dollars for the right to schmooze with Obama, who rails about all those rich people who support the Republicans?
"Uhhhh.......yeaaaaah."
Yeah!
Well, since the Republicans have more billionaires and more committed billionaires pouring more money into more races, yeah, to match them in getting a message out, the fundraisers DO have to go on.
ReplyDeleteConstitutional amendment to restrict campaign spending anyone? Then our public servants could focus on doing the job we elected them to do, rather than spend their entire term fundraising.
