It seems not only jihadists wanting to join the fighting are the only ones heading off to Syria. Now we have reports of a certain California doctor named Yousef Kurdy, who is wanted for Medicare fraud, and is now suspected to be in Syria where he studied medicine.

The report indicates that Kurdy operated the Broadway Medical Center (NFD). There is a Dr Yousef Kurdy connected with a Broadway Medical Center in El Cajon, California who has had his medical license revoked both in Pennsylvania and California.
