University of S Carolina Text Slams Reagan

Hat tip Campus Reform

If your son or daughter attends the University of South Carolina, chances are they are reading a textbook that claims that former President Ronald Reagan was a "sexist" "insensitive to minorities" and just an all-around terrible human being.

Of course, never mind that South Carolina voters liked Mr Reagan. (They voted for him.) Like so many other universities in the South, USC is obviously an island, a cocoon, if you will, probably staffed by left-wing ideologues who view Reagan and those who voted for him with utter disdain.

This story was initially picked up by Campus Reform. It is good to see that Fox News picked it up from them.

  1. I suppose winning the Cold War was too minor a detail to mention about Reagan. It was the major overhanging threat throughout my entire life. If you think think it wasn't a hot war ask anyone who served in Korea or Vietnam. The Cuban missile crises was the closest we have come to a thermonuclear war. In retrospect, there are good reasons to speculate that we would have lost that war.

He brought us out of Jimmy Carter's national malaise as well.

Somehow, these college professors(sorry, Gary) are determined to re-write the history of the country. They are the children of the maniacs that rioted in the schools and streets in the 60s.

  2. He was a bad president, inflicted a lot of damage on the U.S. and the world, and probably had early stage Alzheimer's by the time he first took the oath of office. But that should be said in so many words, not wrapped in PC rhetoric.
