University of Chicago Rejects ASA Call to Boycott Israeli Academics

UC San Diego? Kinda, sorta

"Boycott this."

In the wake of the action by the American Studies Association to pass a resolution calling for an academic boycott of Israel, the adults at the University of Chicago issued the following statement rejecting the action:

Meanwhile, the chancellor of the University of California at San Diego (which happens to be the home of the ASA president, Chicano music and media professor, and "renowned Middle East expert", Curtis Marez) issued this pusillanimous statement rejecting the measure. (At least, we think he did.)

Maybe Chancellor Khosla didn't want to offend Professor Marez.

Anyway, courtesy of Pro-Israel Bay Bloggers, here is an updated list of all universities who have said, "No thanks," to the boycott.

Algemeiner has also published a list. To date, no US university has endorsed this.
