Napolitano's Narrow Focus Criticized by Sacramento Bee

Janet Napolitano

The Sacramento Bee is not impressed with new University of California president Janet Napolitano's speech to the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco.

"launching an “efficiency review” of the 1,500-person Office of the President"

Really? One of the most inefficient government heads in recent memory comes to the University of California with no education background and launches an "efficiency review" of her own office-which consists of 1,500 hundred people?

Meanwhile, Napolitano sets aside $5 million dollars for the benefit of "undocumented students" as one of her first actions as UC president. That's a priority? The Bee rightfully asks whetehre she is doing it because she thinks it's so important or to try and put an end to student protests over her "role" in illegal alien deportations.

It's both.

This is a power move on Janet's part. Like Obama, she will use this review as a lever to threaten the employees and make them subservient to her ways. Her ways, you question? The ways that made the DHS an ineffective government hole of which tax payers pour money. The UC system will go down the hole she creates.
