The New York Times' Idea of a Moderate Muslim

Hat tip Atlas Shrugs, Creeping Sharia and The United West

On February 25, 2011, Siraj Wahhaj spoke at a Muslim Student Association event at the University of Central Florida. The event was covered by The United West. One of the attendees was interviewed by Randy McDaniels of The United West. This same man,  Sinclair Hejazi Abdus-Salaam, was the subject of an effusive article by the New York Times on September 10, 2010.

Here is the video showing the interview of Hejazi in 2011. Listen to his words regarding sharia law.

  1. It seems to me that if you want to overthrow the Constitution, our founding document, then somehow you forfeit your claim to being an "American Citizen" even if you were born here.

  2. I understand, correctly or otherwise, that naturalized citizenship can be revoked/withdrawn under certain circumstances. Any citizen, natural born or otherwise, can either temporarily or permanently lose at least some of their inherent rights (gun ownership, voting, holding certain office, etc.) for specified behavior.

If total forfeiture of citizenship, or at least all rights, , is not available for the most egregious behavior, perhaps we should make it so it is.
