Hat tip Frontpage Magazine
Frontpage Magazine is featuring a good article by P. David Hornik on the anti-semitic situation in Europe, mostly France.

The question is which country will step up and lead the way for the rest of Europe? Most observers say Denmark is the closest. France, with its large Muslim population and more Jews than most other European countries, would seem the most important. Personally, I would like to see Germany take the lead. It is their unique history that makes them an obvious choice. Since the late 1960s, the country has done well in accepting moral responsibility for the Holocaust and educating their children about what happened to Germany's Jews during the Second World War. Yet, with some survivors (and perpetrators) still among the living, the stigma remains and will continue for a long time.
What better opportunity for Germany to partially atone for its past crimes than by taking the lead here and pushing Europe to do better by its Jews? Set the example; crack down on the punks who are tormenting and assaulting Jews. Publicly tell those responsible (who are not Germans) that they can take their Jew hatred back where they came from. Make Germany the safest, most welcoming country in Europe for Jews.
