Atlas Shrugs is reporting a sign featuring a Koranic verse put up at the Harvard School of Law

I would invite the Harvard Law School to research sharia law as it pertains to women, non-Muslims, gays, blasphemers, and apostates and then compare that to the US Constitution and our own principles of justice.
I wonder if any verses from the Bible are posted at the Harvard Law School. That would be a clear violation of the separation of church and state, would it not?

ReplyDeleteI did a Google search and found this:

I could not find any passages from the Bible, but there were quotes from many notable Christians and at least one Jew (I didn't do a thorough look - just skimmed it).
If it were just that one Koran quote and that's all, I would object. In context of all the other quotes though, I think it's probably pretty appropriate.
Check out the link. I think that the entire context, including the explanation that follows, will remove your objections as well.
Harvard is a private school. They can post anything they want to. I suspect that they will start putting up quotes from Mein Kampf next.
ReplyDeleteJakes,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow up. I tend to agree.
I figured you would agree. I think that the folks at Atlas Shrugs are just looking for something to be mad about.
