Here is some great news out of Utah. Mia Love is up by 12 points in her bid to gain a seat in Congress.

Mia is one of those black conservatives who have for too long been denied a voice. Like the others, she has paid the price for wandering off the liberal plantation. That takes courage.
What price? She's mayor of Saratoga Springs Utah. She's heading for congress. There's no question that most conservative "white" folks are chomping at the bit to elect any "black" conservative who offers to represent them. She wouldn't get elected from the south side of Chicago, but that's because she doesn't represent the views of people on the south side of Chicago.
ReplyDeleteWhat price? Being called a sellout, aunt Jemima and all those other epithets thrown her way.
ReplyDeleteShe's a big girl. If she can handle being a rep in congress, she can laugh off a little juvenile name-calling. Besides, I doubt many people in Utah call her names like that.
ReplyDelete(She will make a splash when she declines to join the congressional black caucus, but so what?)
More likely she will not be invited to join the CBC by that collection of fools there, and will therefore not have occasion to decline.
