On Sean Hannity's show tonight, Fox News' reporter in Cairo has just reported that rioters are calling for the producers of the video, "The Innocence of Muslims" to be executed under Sharia law.
Sharia law? Isn't that the same stuff that we have been hearing about the last year or two? This is the law that several states are trying to exclude from US and state law. As a result, they are being sued and called bigots and Islamophobes.
This is the same sharia law that US Muslim leaders are trying to promote as being in perfect conformance with US law. These are the words of Faisal Abdul Rauf, Muzammil Siddiqi and others.
Sharia law.
Sharia law (hudud), in case you did not know, calls for the death penalty for the crime against God of blasphemy-as well as other offenses, which under American law are not considered crimes. That is why rioters in Cairo are calling for death to the video producers.
They know the law.
I hope that sharia's official American apologists read this-people like LA County Sheriff Lee Baca, Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Loretta Sanchez, and LAPD head of the counter terror squad Michael Downing. They are defending sharia law and have stated that it is not against American law.
Killing people for offending Islam is not against American law?
What Sharia law prescribes is in the mind of the speaker. Biblical law prescribes death by stoning for disobedient teens, but most Jews and Christians make reasonable Biblical arguments for why that doesn't apply.
ReplyDeleteThe mobs making the remarks you cite speak only for themselves.
Actually, kosher law allows for polygamy, but no Jews in the United States advocate that as what kosher law means.
You continue to take our worst enemies' word for the meaning of a faith subscribed to by one billion people.
That's poor strategy Gary. Go read Sun Tzu on The Art of War. We need to be separating Salafists from the mass of Muslims, not spreading the propaganda that they are one and the same.
Siarlys,
ReplyDeleteWhen you really dig deep with the research and probing questions to the top Islamic leaders in the US, the penalty of sharia for crimes against God is what they are stuck with. The penalty for blasphemy and apostasy is death. Here in the US, they will try and dance around it, but it is death. This is a case of blasphemy in their eyes.
Siarly,
ReplyDeleteI do try to separate the Salafists and the Islamists from people like Sufis, Ahmedis and those Muslims with enough sense to know they are living in the 21st century including those in the US.
Sharia means one thing to Sufis, another to Ammadiyah, another to Salafists.
ReplyDeleteThose who say it is consistent with the U.S. Constitution have a vision of Sharia that is.
Those who say it requires death for blasphemy, have a vision of Sharia which requires exactly that.
So there is no point in chasing "Sharia" around. What it means is in the eye of each expounder.
