French Martial Arts in Action

Now that France is the Leader of the Free World after its stunning victory in Libya, it's only a matter of time until they rule the world of sports. Who knows-maybe France will produce the next heavyweight boxing champion, currently held by some guy in Ukraine (or is it Belarus?)

Anyway, one emerging star in France is a guy named Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad, who apparently is the biathlon champ combining running and fisticuffs. Here, courtesy of Europe News DK, are a couple of highlight films of this emerging champ showing off his roundhouse right then pushing a girl in a mascot costume on the track.

Our hero also apparently has a habit of using the French flag for a prayer rug prior to his races, which is sure to win lots of fans.

Let's hope the Brits give him a hearty welcome during the upcoming Olympics in London.
