Administration Meeting With CAIR

Daily Caller is breaking a story today that confirms that the Obama administration is dealing with the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) even though that organization is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial and even though the FBI has suspended its contacts with the Muslim Brotherhood-linked organization.

As the DC article points out, the latest outrage from this so-called civil rights organization is the recent anti-Semitic diatribe by CAIR's Michigan chapter director, Dawud Walid.

This is another example of how our government (and that includes the previous administration) has reached out to the wrong elements within the American Muslim community for support. CAIR has demonstrated time and time again that it is not a group to be trusted. As we speak, their New Jersey chapter is engaged in a campaign against the New York Police Department over alleged "spying". They are engaged in a campaign against the FBI over training materials used by that agency that refer to Islamic terrorism.

Instead of dealing with CAIR, the administration should be allowing the US Attorney's office in Dallas to proceed with their follow-up case in the Holy Land Foundation matter-which Eric Holder's DOJ is currently blocking.
