Since that UN cease fire with UN observers has turned out so well in Syria, the US has decided to expel that country's top diplomat in retaliation. (Ninety people were killed Friday.)

Meanwhile out here in Irvine, where UC Irvine just went through its annual contortions over Israel, the Syrian honorary consul Hatem Chehabi remains as the chair of the UC Irvine Foundation in spite of repeated protests.
