This is the story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Waxman. Henry Jekyll was a well-respected doctor in Washington. He had a beautiful wife. In fact, he was a very handsome man himself. He was so handsome, everyone called him "Handsome Henry."
But Dr Jekyll had a hidden secret. It wasn't what he was doing at night after work because at night, he was always home with his wife. It was what he did in the daytime that was so horrible.
You see, Dr Jekyll had a basement in which he was experimenting on a secret potion that would change good people into bad. One night, he drank his potion and suddenly, he was transformed into a horribly ugly and evil-minded person. It was during his day-time hours that Dr Jeklyll became ...................
Mr Waxman.
"Have some champagne, Dearie."
Every day, while hanging out in a sleazy joint called "The Capital", Mr Waxman would terrify everyone who came before him. Witnesses who came to testify had to face his ugly stare and answer obnoxious questions. He showered abuse on everyone.
Women were terrified of Mr Waxman. Just the sight of him would drive them into hysterics.
"The man is a brute."
In addition, Mr Waxman did everything in his power to make life miserable for ordinary people. He would vote to raise their taxes and pass terrible regulations that drove their businesses, well, out of business.
Of course, Dr Jekyll's greatest fear was that his wife would discover his alter ego. He dreaded the possibility that one day, his appearance would transform into that of Mr Waxman while he was at home with his wife instead of at work.
To be continued.....(not)
Don't quit your day job Gary.
ReplyDeleteI won't. I kinda ran into a wall after a point. I mean I didn't want to say that Mr Waxman murdered some gal, did I?
ReplyDeleteIf a dead prostitute is ever found in his bed, we'll know who put her there.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, that was from the Godfather.
Oh, wait, maybe Gary doesn't know that.
