The Plight of Sufis in Iran

Rabbi Ysroel Dovid Weiss of Neturei Karta schmoozes with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Rabbi Weiss, please read this article.

Stephen Schwartz, who is the head of the Center for Islamic Pluralism and a true Muslim moderate, has written an important piece on his organization's website. It concerns a branch of the Sufis in Iran. We already know that Iran persecutes its Baha'i and hangs its gays. Of course, apologists like Rabbi Ysroel Dovid Weiss of New York assure us that Iran protects it Jewish minority. Even if that's true, he apparently doesn't care about the plight of other persecuted minorities.

Persecution of any minority is wrong and that includes Muslim minorities. Yet, it seems that CAIR and the other groups who are always decrying "Islamophobia" are silent when it comes to the myriad of examples of Muslim persecution of religious minorities around the world, even with Muslim minority sects, like the Ahmadis in Pakistan. Such persecution as we see in places like Pakistan, Iran and Egypt (with the Coptic Christians) does not exist in America-no matter what CAIR says.

  1. Why is it that all the "Muslims" recognized by Gary Fouse as "good Muslims" have either Jewish or Anglo names?

Wait for Gary's new video, "The Leader Gives The Good Muslims A Town."

  2. Schwartz is a convert to islam and a Sufi. Another one is Zuhdi Jasser, who was born in the US as a Muslim. There is a third whose blog is linked here. He doesn't have a Jewish or Anglo name rather an Arabic one. (Tawid)

  3. When did you ever support the Euro anyway Miggie? Not that I credit you with bringing it down. You're not that influential. And who was saying anything about Jews anyway?

  4. My friend escaped Iran's 1979 revolution. She is a Muslim who hates the "regime" and wishes Iran was freed from Ahmadinejad's tyranny. Hardened from watching her home turned into an oppressive, murderous place, she has no need for sentimentality and thus blunt. When I asked her how homosexuals were treated in Iran, she said"They(regime) kill them." CAIR easily convinces the politically self-conscious, apologetic Americans that they , CAIR, speak for all Muslims who only want to foster peace, love and understanding between Muslims and Christian Americans. In fact, CAIR is a vocal minority with an oppressive agenda for non-Muslims. Those persons in the OC who buy into CAIR's message seem clueless to the suffering CAIR's agenda has brought to Iran and the Middle East.

  5. Assuming that what has been said about it is true, CAIR has an oppressive agenda for MUSLIMS, let along non-Muslims. I suspect the truth lies somewhere other than what anyone is saying, pro or con, and not precisely between either. But certainly they are not The Authorized Spokespeople for American Muslims. They are a bunch of people who got together an organization to work for whatever it is they all agree on, unlike all those who are not part of it.
