Imam Rauf Going to Saudi at State Department Expense
Another screw up
As the debate over the proposed Grand Zero mosque in New York rages, and questions persist over the funding sources, we learn that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is about to travel to Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar, which has raised suspicions that he will be going to solicit funding. Now comes this lovely piece of news. Rauf's travel is being paid for by the US State Department.
That's just ducky.

So according to the DOS, Rauf is one of these figures who gets sent to the Middle East to educate the folks about the religious situation in America. God only knows what Rauf and others are telling them. In Rauf's case, is he telling them about the progress in making America "shariah compliant"? Or is he telling them that US policies were an accessary to 9-11 as he has stated here?
And it is all at our own expense.
Once again, I call on President Obama to fire Hillary Clinton.
Gary, I didn't want Obama to pick Hillary Clinton for anything. I voted for him in part because the last thing I wanted was to see Hillary Clinton be the alternative to whatever the Republicans cooked up after George W. Bush.
ReplyDeleteBut, this hardly qualifies as a reason. Do you think she makes these decisions as a matter of personal discretion?
I'd also like to know, is he going as part of a team? Will they all hear what each of them says, and what the Saudis say in response? Or will he have a private closed-door meeting, from which the State Department will know only what he chooses to tell them?
Who knows, but why are we sending this guy as our rep and at our expense given his previous statements and refusal to condemn Hamasa as a terrorist org?
ReplyDeleteIs there anything left in the world that we don't have to pay for?
If HC is Sec of State, who is to be held responsible for bonehead moves like this.
"The buck stops here", right?
Any alternative would have been better than the Senator on the farthest Left edge of the Senate.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a single " accomplishment" of his that the American people would have approved of in an up or down vote.
(the one thing I gave him credit for, getting that Somali pirate shot, I read somewhere that it was done without his approval in some communications snafu and that he was furious about it)
