Hillary Clinton-US Joins UN in Condemnation of Israel

"Guilty"

After a couple of days of silence, the US Government, represented by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, jumped on the UN bandwagon by joining in the condemnation of Israel for their raid on the Gaza-bound flotilla.

In one of the fastest acts in the history of the UN, Israel was condemned by the Security Council of that organization of dictatorships. Never mind the videos clearly showing the soldiers being attacked with clubs as soon as they landed on board the Turkish ship. Never mind the offer of Israel to unload the cargo in Israel and deliver it to Gaza (which is already being done). Never mind the refusal by the flotilla and their determination to break the blockade without any inspection. Never mind the fact that some 50 passengers have now been identified as having links to terrorist organizations. All that matters to the UN and now the US is that Israel must be blamed. Of course, there is still "an investigation" that must be conducted according to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and Madame Clinton, but we already know what the findings of that will be. In the meantime, Israel has been condemned. (Aren't they supposed to investigate BEFORE they condemn?)

“The United States supports the Security Council’s condemnation of the acts leading to this tragedy,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, striking a note of support for the victims of an attack by Israel on an aid-laden flotilla of ships bound for Gaza."

"Earlier, Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Public Affairs, Philip Crowley, said in a statement that the U.S. was “working to ascertain the facts, and [expects] that the Israeli government will conduct a full and credible investigation.”

What's that old saying about putting the cart before the horse?

Clinton's remarks leave no doubt where Israel stands under the Obama administration, which would gladly welcome the demise of Israel so they can get on with the business of sucking up to the Palestinians and the 57-member-gang called the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the same gang who is pressuring the UN to pass an international law to criminalize anyone who "defames religion" (Islam).

At any rate, we know one group that is celebrating Madame Clinton's remarks; that would be flotilla organizer Greta Berlin and her pals in San Francisco (pictured below).

Thank you Gary! I think a lot of Americans do support Israel in their right to protect their own citizens from the terrorist organization HAMAS. It makes me angry that VP Joe Biden and several members of Congress have sent letters to our State Department affirming their support for Israel in this situation and there hasn't been one word from Pres. Obama (who I voted for.) It makes me so angry that the world press and organizations like the UN and the EU and European Parliament are so quick to condemn Israel for what any other country would have done under the circumstances. The blockade exists because Hamas has used Gaza to launch over 12,000 rockets into Israel since 2001 and 7,000 rockets since fall 2005 when Israel forced their own citizens to leave Gaza so they could give it to the Palestinians. The only reason there have not been tens of thousands of deaths there is that the Israelis living in Sderot and the surrounding area where the bombs land live their lives within seconds of bomb shelters and use them sometimes several times a day. Children and adults in this area have developed battle trauma which affects their ability to work and attend school. Many would move out, but how do you sell a house or apartment in a city under constant attack. The city of Sderot is bankrupt and its people are in the same tragic economic situation as the people of Gaza! The UN has not condemned HAMAS for this continuing siege ever!!! The EU and European Parliament have never once condemned HAMAS. I have written a letter to Pres. Obama saying that I am ashamed that America hasn't done better by our greatest ally in the middle east and in the war against terror. Isn't this what we are trying to do — stop the terrorists? HAMAS hides behind the skirts and diapers of Palestinians living in Gaza and uses them as human shields and never has the UN, EU or European Parliament condemned them for that either. Join me in writing to Obama and asking that he stand up and tell the world that Israel is not the problem — the problem is HAMAS and Israel deserves our support, our admiration and our thanks for a job well done!! Tony Blair said it!!
