The New York Times Article and the Answers to My Own Question
New York Times photo
How many similarities or differences do you see between the two pictures?
A few days ago, I linked an article from the New York Times comparing the Tea Partiers to the Weather Underground of the 1960s and 70s. Under the top photo of both groups, I posed the question of how many similarities or differences the readers could detect.
Since I got no answers from my "millions" of readers, I guess I will answer the question myself.
First of all, note the difference in age of the two groups. The top photo shows a college-age crowd. The bottom photo shows a bunch of middle-aged folks.
Secondly, note that many in the top photo are wearing helmets-obviously anticipating violence with the police. The bottom photo shows nobody wearing a helmet.
Third: In the bottom photo, there is an American flag. There is no American flag in the top photo.
Finally, in the top photo, our old friend (or Obama's old friend) William Ayres is pictured (2nd from right). William Ayres is certainly not in the bottom photo.
