You Can Be a Man......The Saga of Doug Chandler and John Ensign
"Be a man!"
When I watch this Doug Chandler character being interviewed on TV about his wife Cindy's affair with Senator John Ensign, I am reminded of the scene from Godfather One where Johnny Fontaine is literally crying to Vito Corleone that some Hollywood producer won't give him a movie role.
"What can I do, Godfather?"
"You can be a man, that's what you can do", answers the Godfather as he slaps Johnny around.
That's what I want to say to Doug Chandler as he publicly cries about Ensign "pursuing" his wife (He caught her, pal), and why he needs to be made whole again ($$$$$$$).
Of course it has now been revealed that this guy was getting jobs courtesy of Ensign, his wife got a $25,000 separation payment from the Senator's employ-and oh, yes, one other thing. Now it has been reported that the Chandler family received a total of $96,000 (in installments)from none other than John Ensign's parents. Explanation? Well, it seems that the Ensign and Chandler families were quite close and this was just a nice little gift to help them through their time of travail.
"Johnny's been a bad boy and now we have to pay the neighbors $96,000."
So this is the Republican Party's answer in Nevada to Harry Reid. So this is the new breed of Republicans who are going to lead the party back to greatness.
Here's my suggestion to both John Ensign and Doug Chandler. Mr. Chandler, you can be a man and punch John Ensign's lights out (temporarily, of course). And next, Mr Chandler, you can divorce that wife of yours. As for John Ensign you can be a man and resign from the Senate.
Then you will both be men.
Just once I'd love to see the wronged husband take a punch at the SOB who fooled around with his wife, and see one of those political spouses take a swipe at dear hubby, pack his bags and kick him out instead of standing sweetly in front of the cameras.
ReplyDeleteDitto. It is so demeaning for those wives to stand there with their husbands like that.
