How University of California Faculty and Academic Departments Engage in Indoctrination

The Amcha Initiative, an organization based in California and dedicated to exposing anti-Semitism on college campuses, has come out with a study describing how University of California faculty and academic departments have abused their positions and resources to engage in indoctrination of students, particularly in the area of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (promoting the Palestinian narrative). The report focuses on UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Cruz. It can be read in full here. A summary of the report can be read here.

My own personal experience in this issue has convinced me that continued pressure must be put on our universities in order to bring reform to academia in this area. More specifically, the intense pro-Palestinian agitation on our campuses has brought nothing but increased anti-Semitism that the Jewish students must contend with. I have witnessed with my own eyes (on other UC campuses) how professors and entire academic departments use their positions and their resources to engage in pure indoctrination of their students under the guise of academic freedom.

In that vein, I support the actions taken by the Trump administration and the Republicans in Congress to shine the light on this problem. If universities cannot or will not reform, they must see their taxpayer-paid funding dry up. In addition, ineffective university administrators should lose their jobs.

This has gone on far too long.
